Professional rodeo coming to Conway

The Log Cabin Democrat will be the major sponsor in bringing the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to Conway on May 23-24.

Advertising Director Rita Thomas said in a press conference Friday the newspaper was extremely excited about the major event, which would not only have a positive impact on Conway with the arrival of the athletes but also provide families with an opportunity for good, clean entertainment.

Thomas spoke on behalf of Publisher Scot Morrissey, who was out of town on a family emergency.
